Beyond the Spiritual Seeking
Paula Whang-Ramos
"The fundamental changes that last, those that truly matter, come forth from within us
when the splendor of our divine nature is unleashed. What we truly want is within us."
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian
Popular media and marketing strategies offer peace in comfort foods, wisdom on the internet, and personal worth in a new car. It's true that these experiences may provide temporary fulfillment for us. But then the reality of indigestion, eye strain and car payments set in, and we become uncomfortable, fatigued, and financially stressed. And, then we are on the hunt again, for more peace, wisdom and personal worth. Do we really want to spend the rest of our lives being seekers for the next temporary fix? If we want to stop being seekers and become finders of these qualities in our lives, then we need to stop looking outside ourselves for that which eternally dwells within us all.
Ancient Yogic teachings tell us that everything in the mind, the body and the world provides temporary fulfillment, at best. Yoga involves spiritually conscious living and a daily meditation practice to help us redirect our awareness within where the Source of peace, wisdom and wholeness are always available to us. Firmly grounded in that which does not change, we become finders of the permanent peace, wisdom and power that we seek.

Be A Force For Good
Paula Whang-Ramos
"There is a force for good that operates the universe and we can learn to cooperate with it."
Mr. Roy Eugene Davis
When we hear about and experience natural disasters and violent acts of humanity, we may look around us and wonder whether there is a force for good anywhere. And, it's true, through these difficult times, our vision can be clouded, especially if we begin our search for goodness outside ourselves.
Yoga is the inner realization of our essential wholeness and goodness. It is a way of living that allows us to directly experience and remember that we are not our fears or our reactions to our fear. At our core, we are the unchangeable force for good that enlivens our thoughts, words and actions. And that potential for realizing, living from and sharing that goodness indwells every one of us. Whether we choose to live from the indwelling force for good or from our fear - is our choice.
During difficult times, it takes spiritual maturity and courage to choose again and again to return to the indwelling force for good. As we remain steadfast on our yogic path of wholeness, we can realize, embody, and BE that force for good for all life, even during difficult times. Our vision clears, and through the clouds, we can clearly experience this eternal goodness that is always present.
Join us at Blue Lotus Center and share in the collective consciousness of other sincere seekers committed to living from the force for good. Abide In Peace
Paula Whang-Ramos
"In this righteous way no endeavor is wasted and no obstacle prevails;
even a little of the practice protects one from great challenge."
~ The Bhagavad Gita 2:40
As our conscious awareness changes, it is natural to experience ebbs and flows of peace, love and wholeness in our lives. Some days, our meditation is deep and sweet. Our days flow in joy and grace, and we inwardly know that all is well. Other days, our minds may be more distracted and our meditation is challenging. On those days, we may have to return to our inner peace again and again...and again. Even through the challenging moments, to the best of our ability, it is important to remain steadfast in our daily practice.
This beautiful verse from the ancient Yogic text, The Bhagavad Gita, reminds us that every intentional thought, word and action, no matter how big or small, will contribute to our remembrance of our Yoga Wholeness. We are deepening the inner path to joy and wisdom, every time we chose: to return to peace when we are frustrated; to meditate when the mind resists sitting, and to practice kindness, harmless, truthfulness, generosity, the right use of our Vital Force, and nonattachment to the outcome of our thoughts, words, and actions. And, from these righteous endeavors, we experience the natural alignment of our soul in Divine grace, peace and power.
Join us this Wednesday for week 3 of our class, "Living Yoga: The Eternal Way". Learn, study and practice with other sincere seekers devoted to lives thriving in peace, love and wholeness. Experience specific ancient Yogic practices to help us abide in the power, peace, wisdom and joy that naturally arises when we realize our true soul nature and take our place in the Wholeness of Life.

Reclaim Your Life
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Situations don’t define us. We define them."
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian
Before we open into the consciousness of Yoga/Oneness, we may believe that our life circumstances define our identity and purpose. We may measure our own worth based on our financial income, our social status, or how young we look. When we have money, are popular, and look young we may feel happy and have high self-worth. When we are in between jobs, our relationships end, and we are ill, then we may feel less happy and less worthy. Living this way, our quality of life may feel may feel more like an unpredictable roller coaster ride and less like anything over which we have control. We may even come to believe that happiness and authentic living are beyond our reach. This is not so!
When we study and live Yoga/Wholeness, we open into a different way of looking at and experiencing our lives. We come to understand that happiness and peace are not fleeting life qualities whose occurrence in our lives is unpredictable. As we learn to meditate and live in a more holistic way, then peace, joy, and clarity naturally emerge from within us. We learn to consciously cultivate these qualities into the circumstances of our lives. And these inner qualities become the guideposts to define us, because we realize they, and not our daily circumstances are the truth of what we are. Join us this Wednesday for Living Yoga: The Eternal Way and Thursday for Learn to Meditate. Gift your Self the opportunity to get off the roller coaster and experience the peace love and wholeness that you are.
