Acharya Vandana's  Weekly Inspirations

“If anything disturbs your peace, practice having faith that divine grace is already actively at work restoring wholeness and well-being.

Then make any necessary adjustments in harmony with that insight.”

We Are The Light
Paula Whang-Ramos

"Like a serene lake reflecting the light of the full moon on a clear night, the quiet mind is capable of revealing our essential Self – pure existence-being, unmoving, unchanging, eternal Spirit." ~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p. 91

From the teachings of Kriya Yoga, we know there is one Source that enlivens the universe. This Source is whole and complete, limitless and eternal. As emanations of this Source, our true soul nature is also whole, complete, limitless, and eternal. Our essential Self, our soul, is not limited by the changing body or mind. Nor is it compromised by challenging or difficult circumstances in our daily lives. Instead, our soul nature is the ever-present peace, unconditional joy, enduring wisdom, and complete wholeness that abides in the Source.

When we quiet the mind through our daily meditation practice, the light of our unchanging, eternal soul reveals inner insight, intuition, and inspiration to help us wisely navigate through our daily life challenges. We realize that we are not merely a reflection of the light. Our essential Self is the light of Supreme Consciousness Itself. Today and always, let’s allow our soul lights to shine as we live in the power, presence, and purpose of the divine beings that we are.

Live Your Soul Qualities
Paula Whang-Ramos

"Think of the soul first. Consider your life purpose in terms of who you really are rather than what you think you want to do.
Concentrate on expressing your soul qualities." ~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p. 44

The teachings of Kriya Yoga reveal that we are more than these changing bodies or the mind stories of power or powerlessness. We are even more than our roles, relationships, and circumstances. Our minds/bodies serve as the vehicles for our spiritual realization. Our life circumstances serve as the grand arena in which our spiritual awakening and soul qualities can be realized.

Unlike the changing mind/body, soul qualities such as eternal peace, unconditional love, unwavering integrity and courage, and unapologetic bliss are unchanging qualities of our essential wholeness.  As we choose to allow soul qualities to overflow from within us, we open our lives into the radiant power, presence, wisdom, and joy of the Source of wholeness. Our lives become inspirations and expressions of the peace, love, integrity, courage, bliss, wisdom, and power we desire. Take a moment and reflect on the soul qualities that are revealing themselves to you right now. Choose to let them guide you into the spiritually empowered life you deserve today.

Our True Nature Is Wholeness
Paula Whang-Ramos

"We are Supreme Consciousness Itself. We look for well-being, but we are well-being.
We search for wholeness, but we are wholeness… We pray for love. We are love itself
."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p. 48

This week, we continue our study of the wisdom in Yogacharya O'Brian's book Living for the Sake of the Soul, as we explore Part 2: "Supreme Consciousness Is Our True Nature". As individual expressions of Wholeness, these yogic teachings reveal that our true nature is also whole. This means that our eternally true, never-changing Self remains unaffected, unafraid, and uncompromised by challenging life circumstances.

Does this mean that the true Self remains whole even when we feel broken? Yes. Is the true Self whole even in the face of life stories that tell us that we are unworthy or insufficient? Yes. Are we still whole even as the body ages and declines? Yes, even then. How can that be? The true Self remains whole because we are not our feelings, our stories, or our bodies. We are the eternal presence that enlivens our mind/bodies and life experiences. And that presence is always whole.

If this teaching inspires you, then join us as we dive into Yogacharya's inspirational teachings on our True Nature in the coming months. If this teaching confuses you, then join us as we dive into Yogacharya's inspirational teachings on our essential Wholeness. Seekers from all backgrounds and levels of awareness are welcome!
