“If anything disturbs your peace, practice having faith that divine grace is already actively at work restoring wholeness and well-being.
Then make any necessary adjustments in harmony with that insight.”

In the Spiritual Flow
Paula Whang-Ramos
"A farmer or gardener does not have to coax water to flow. When obstacles to its flow are removed, it will stream forth naturally.
Our intentional spiritual practices remove obstacle to the flow of creative forces which naturally become expressive when allowed to do so."
~ Mr. Roy Eugene Davis, Life Surrendered In God, (1995) p. 200
I love the image of freely flowing clear, pure water as a metaphor for the spiritual power, presence and wisdom that can freely flow through us when It is unobstructed. Living in this flow, we can more easily hear divine inspiration, speak harmless truth, and act from the Wholeness in which we all live. And, from this higher level of conscious living naturally flows inner clarity, peace, gratitude, and joy, even during challenging times of unexpected change.
I also appreciate the reminder that the purpose of our spiritual practice is not to become more spiritual. In Yoga, we are already spiritual, whole, wise, peaceful bliss. We engage in spiritual practice to remove the obstacles in the mind and our lives that prevent us from experiencing the Truth of our essential wholeness and goodness. Like the removal of rocks that impede the flow of water, when we remove the false beliefs and wrong thinking that perpetuates our stories of smallness and limitation, then we can surrender into the divine grace that overflows in all aspects of our lives!

A Glass Full of Wholeness
Paula Whang-Ramos
"If we see our life as full of problems, it will be. When we look for what is wrong, we find it everywhere.
Often this is just an old habit. Discard it today and look for the good."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian 04/16/2021
Some folks live from the glass half empty view of life. If there is any perceivable flaw in a situation, they will find it. Others live from a glass half full perspective, always seeking only the positive view in every situation. While I have found myself in both camps in different times in my life, I have never found fulfillment in either. For me, both views fail to see the entire glass itself, thereby creating a perceptual blindness that overlooks the potential in the entire situation. It wasn't until I stepped on to the path of Kriya Yoga, that I realized an alternative view and way of living that has the courageous honesty to hold the entire glass in its essential wholeness.
Kriya Yoga is a philosophy and way of spiritually conscious living that teaches us how to live into the Wholeness of life. Rather than define our lives by our problems, we learn to use ancient spiritual practices to more skillfully discern and navigate through our discomfort, into a higher consciousness available within us all. Our life challenges no longer define us.
Kriya Yoga can also cultivate an inner courage and spiritual maturity to face life's growing edges that call us beyond our comfort zone. We stop avoiding life discomforts that scare us, as we learn to access the eternal force for good that enlivens the universe, including our own lives. We no longer have to live a 1/2 full life. Instead, we can learn to directly access and live from the entire glass full of essential goodness that a conscious life in Wholeness has to offer to us all.

Accept The Divine Invitation...Again
Paula Whang-Ramos
“If we are receptive to the invitation to begin our spiritual journey in earnest, we can say, ‘I am no longer willing to live at odds with my soul.
I surrender to the Power for Good to direct my steps on the path. Now I am turning to God.’”
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian 02/23/2021
In my experience, the acceptance of "the invitation to begin my spiritual journey in earnest" is a process, not an event. It is not a one-time offer that only requires my one-time acceptance. It is a daily reminder, return and recommitment to living from the highest good that indwells us all.
Kriya Yoga offers a philosophy and a pathway into this invitation of spiritually conscious living. As we study, learn, and live this spiritual path, we follow the soul's joy and wisdom as an inner compass to guide our life choices. Instead of living from the reactive, self-serving mind, we can consciously live in the Wholeness of all life.
In full disclosure, I find this journey also includes the realization that sometimes I forget my acceptance of this invitation, and I think, speak, or behave in a way that veils the integrity of my soul and risks harm to others and myself. Yet, even those painful moments of forgetfulness can serve as powerful inner course corrections into the value of an apology and atonement; the power of forgiveness; and the importance of compassion and respect for all. And the teachings of Kriya Yoga remind me that beyond my forgetfulness is the peace, love, and wholeness of the Power for Good, extending Its invitation to us all, once again.

For Highest Wisdom, Look Within
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Our ability to perceive the highest wisdom is facilitated by the purity of the intellect
rather than accumulating information, no matter how valuable or lofty it is.
Those who seek truth must look beyond books. Look within."
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian 03/31/2021
I used to admire spiritual leaders who could interpret a Bible passage in a depth and richness that broke my heart open into God. And yet, when I read that same Bible myself, I was often at best, confused, and at worst, completely uninspired spiritually. And I would wonder what divine wisdom the other person had that I seemed to lack, despite my decades of study of Christian scripture, the historical context of its stories, and the historical creation of the Bible itself? Interestingly, it wasn't until we studied the Christian Bible in the CSE Kriya Yoga Meru Seminary that I was able to experience the Divine reflected in this sacred text.
Kriya Yoga offers a path to mature our inner spiritual ears to hear and spiritual eyes to see Truth from within. In the inherent Wholeness that is the philosophical foundation of Yoga, we stop seeking God and the authentic answers to our lives in a book, even a powerfully spiritual book. Instead, we learn how these sacred texts reflect the innate divine wisdom that resides within us all, regardless of the presence or absence of religiosity in our lives. Our refined inner vision and hearing clarify our innate wisdom, intuition, and inspiration that shines in the space between the words of spiritual texts from all wisdom traditions. Today, I still love listening to spiritual leaders from enlightened traditions, and I am even more inspired knowing that their spiritual mirrors reflect the divine intelligence available within us all.
Join us at CSE for the next two Monday evenings, for Awaken the Inner Spark of Divinity: The Beatitudes Through the Lens of Kriya Yoga with Rev. Sundari Jensen.
