Because We Knew You, We Have Been Changed for Good
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Live enjoyably, compassionately, and skillfully with permanent Self-realization as your major aim in your current incarnation.
With warm best wishes and constant blessings, Roy Eugene Davis"
In the eternal Wholeness that is yoga, it is amazing how we touch and change each other’s lives. Sometimes we are changed by meeting a person and being in their presence. Other times, we may be inspired by a story that we hear about someone we've never met face to face. Or, we can be changed by reading teachings written by an enlightened Teacher who generously shares his awakened heart with us all.
If you have ever been inspired or encouraged by any teaching offered through Blue Lotus Center, including these weekly newsletters, then you have been influenced by Mr. Roy Eugene Davis. Mr. Davis is Yogacharya O'Brian's Spiritual Teacher of 40 years. For more than 60 years, Mr. Davis has devotedly lived and freely shared the teachings of Kriya Yoga as he learned them from his Teacher, Paramahansa Yogananda. All of us at the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment, the Blue Lotus Center, and all of the CSE affiliate meditation sites have directly benefited from Mr. Davis' spiritually awakened and humble presence.
Mr. Davis made his conscious transition on March 27, 2019. This morning at The Center for Spiritual Awareness, Mr. Davis' meditation center headquarters in Georgia, a memorial service is being held to honor Mr. Davis' incredible life of awakened service. Please join those of us who love and respect Mr. Davis by taking a moment to reflect on how the services and teachings from CSE and BLC have supported the reclaiming of peace, love and wisdom in your life. Know this to be the footprint that Mr. Davis leaves in our lives and hearts. Join us at BLC in holding all beings in all realms in the eternal communion of the One Divine Heart that transcends the life of earth bodies. As for me, I hear Mr. Davis in my heart, reminding me that the best way to honor him is to live these Truth teachings to the best of my ability - all the way into the freedom of the soul in this lifetime!
And so it is.

Be the Master of Your Moments
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Progress is in accord with intensity of practice, whether mild, medium, or extremely intensive."
~ Yoga Sutra 1:22
The Yoga Sutra is a collection of ancient teachings designed to help us learn to live in our essential Wholeness, free from the limiting stories of the mind/body. I love how the Sutras have the potential to open an inner space of spiritual empowerment for us to claim and consciously use the divine power that flows through us all.
Sutra 1.22 is one of my many favorites because it reminds us that we are the masters of the moments of our lives. For example, if we want more peace, love and wisdom in our lives, then we can make choices to cultivate those qualities, right here and right now, amidst the ebbs and flows of our lives. If we want to live in the consciousness of Yoga wholeness, then we can make choices, right now, to meditate daily, to practice living from the soul's joy, to deeply contemplate and remember what we are, and to release the illusion that we are separate from the Source of life.
Join us this Tuesday evening for Liberate the Light Within, with Rev. Sundari Jensen, as we continue our study into the practical application of these ancient teachings. And, join us this Thursday, for Living Peace, where we explore the deeper spiritual practice of abundant living. Learn to be the master of the moments of your life.

The Wisdom of the Yoga Sutra
Paula Whang-Ramos
“Suffering which has not yet been experienced is to be avoided."
The Yoga Sutra 2:16
This message may seem obvious. Of course, we would avoid experiences that cultivate suffering. And yet, have we ever stayed up too late watching a movie, knowing we would be tired the next morning? Or, have we ever overindulged in a delicious meal that we knew would invite indigestion later? How can we redirect our attention away from unhealthy habits towards those that better serve our highest good?
Join us this Tuesday evening at BLC as we live stream the Yoga Sutra with Rev. Sundari Jensen, Senior Kriya Yoga Teacher at CSE. We are blessed with this rare opportunity to participate in this Meru Institute class as we explore the wisdom of these ancient, practical Yogic teachings to help us live from our essential peace, love and wholeness, instead of habitual choices that increase our suffering. Experience a time of meditation, individual and group reflection, and direct experience into the heart of Yoga and Meditation.

Listen To Divine Grace
Paula Whang-Ramos
“Whatever it is we dream to do, the way we bring forth our divine potential is to begin.
We take the first step and invite divine grace to meet us.”
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, The Jewel of Abundance, P. 62
In honor of Mr. Roy Eugene Davis, Yogacharya O'Brian's Spiritual Teacher, I am reading one of his most recent books, Paramahansa Yogananda As I Knew Him (2nd Edition). Noteworthy are the number of times that, as a young man, Mr. Davis had intuitions about divine unfoldments that would occur in his life...and then they happened. Whether it was the full recovery from a life-threatening illness, or the meeting of Paramahansa Yogananda, his Spiritual Teacher who lived 2,000 miles away, Mr. Davis had an inner knowing of what was true for his life, and he lived it.
How did Mr. Davis realize his dreams? In the flow of divine grace and his ever- deepening spiritual practice, Mr. Davis had spiritual ears to hear how he was called to think, speak and behave to help realize his essential Wholeness and the Source of Life. This realization came from much more than simply hoping, wondering, and thinking about his intuitions. Mr. Davis used his Vital Force to make conscious choices and take courageous actions to open into divine grace and move his life in the direction of his highest good.
Mr. Davis' life is a dynamic invitation for us to more deeply contemplate how courageously and consistently our own personal daily actions reflect movement towards the realization of the peace, love and wholeness that we say we want in our own lives, and for all life. How can we mature our spiritual ears to hear what change is called for from within us to realize our essential Wholeness? What limited thinking can we release to make space for our inner greatness to be heard and lived by us? In divine grace, what is the step that we are called to take now?
