Live From The Soul in 2025
Paula Whang-Ramos
"The soul-guided life radically reorders our priorities and transforms our way of responding to circumstances.
It invites us to love when logic would have us hate; to forgive when we would be inclined to resent: to risk when we want to draw back in fear;
to make amends when pride would have us demand an apology; to give when we feel poor; to choose a higher security than money can bring."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p.12
As we prepare to welcome a new year, can we give ourselves permission to release our attachment to our aversions, resentments, fears, pride, selfishness, and materialism - none of which bring us the fulfillment, quality, or dignity of life that we desire and deserve? Instead, can we replace these old ego habits with a more spiritually conscious way of living that cultivates more love, forgiveness, courage, reconciliation, generosity, and abundance consciousness for ourselves and all life?
If your reply to these questions is "Yes!" or even "Hmm?", then join us at Blue Lotus Center in 2025 as we explore spiritual teachings from Yogacharya's inspiring book, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, a powerful collection of deeply soul nourishing sayings rooted in the universal wisdom of Kriya Yoga. Peace, Love, Healing and Joy To All
Paula Whang-Ramos
"The peace that we pray for in our world, the love we hope for, the healing we yearn for, and the joy we welcome are
natural expressions of spiritual awakening. What the world most needs is this awakening.
Let us pray for it today and believe in our hearts it is possible now."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Path of Wonder: A Meditator's Guide to Advent, p. 74
Holy Day greetings to all! This time of year is honored as a holy season in Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. In the Christian tradition, the birth of Jesus the Christ is celebrated!
In this teaching tradition of Kriya Yoga, spiritual stories are interpreted metaphysically. For example, the birth of Jesus the Christ symbolizes the realization of the Christ Consciousness within all beings. During this holy season, spiritual seekers from all traditions can open into the divine wisdom, peace, and love that is the awakening of Christ Consciousness within us all.
For those of us committed to being the peace, love, healing, and joy that is so needed in the world right now, we know that these spiritual qualities must first emerge from within us. We begin by deepening our time in conscious silence and meditation to quiet and purify the distracted mind. Then we can more easily listen and follow the inner still small voice of Christ consciousness that inspires our inner peace, love, healing, and joy to overflow from within us and bless all of life, including our own.
During this holy season, may we awaken into the Christ Consciousness that waits to be heard and lived through us right now. May it's peace, love, healing, and joy awaken in the hearts of beings everywhere.
Thrive in prosperity consciousness this year at Blue Lotus Center onsite (Wednesday evenings only) and online (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays). Meditation For The Holy Days
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Those who practice meditation soon learn that silence is much greater than not speaking words or the absence of sound...
Deep silence, beyond words and thoughts, ushers us into the experience of oneness... In silence, in wholeness, the true Self is known."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Path of Wonder: A Meditator's Guide to Advent, p. 38
There is a soul silence beneath the busy, distracted mind, that is inherent in every one of us, and we can experience it in every single breath. When we are not paying attention, our breathing can seem like one continuous flow that never stops. It may feel like our in-breath automatically emerges from our out-breath, and our out-breath automatically emerges from our in-breath, over and over again.
As we become skillful meditators, we realize a deeper, more subtle quality of the breath. We breathe in, and then there is a momentary pause in the silence of the soul. From that inner stillness, the out-breath is born. We breath out, and then there is a momentary pause in soul silence, from which the in-breath emerges. Breathing in and out from our inner silence opens us into the indwelling peace within us all.
As our meditation deepens, we can directly experience our soul peace and silence breathing through these mind/bodies. With each conscious breath, we can accept the blessing of Divine Wholeness expressing ITs eternal peace, joy, and love - as our lives. In the fullness of our holiday activities, just one conscious breath into the silence can restore our joy and reclaim our peace. Join us at BLC this Wednesday for Meditation for the Holy Days, an extended time of silent meditation to calm the mind in the peace of the soul.

Awaken In Christ Consciousness
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Metaphysically, 'no room at the inn' symbolizes a restless mind, too full of thought activity to perceive the inner Christ."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Path of Wonder: A Meditator's Guide to Advent, p. 31
In the Christian tradition, the Christmas story describes the birth of Jesus the Christ. As the story goes, the local hostel was full of guests, so there was no room for Mary, Jesus' mother, to stay and give birth to Jesus. Instead, Jesus was born in a manger with the animals in the barn.
In our tradition, spiritual stories are interpreted metaphysically. The birth of Jesus symbolizes the awakening of Christ Consciousness, divine wisdom, that indwells us all. But this realization can be obscured by the reactive, undisciplined mind overwhelmed with restless, distracted thoughts and emotions. Thankfully, the Christmas story offers great hope. Instead of Jesus being born in the inn full of mental activity, energy, and thought, Christ Consciousness is born in the dark stillness of the barn, in a place of nourishment for life's diverse expressions.
Like moving into the quiet barn, our daily meditation practice is the intentional turning away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. In meditation, restless thoughts and worries dissipate as we rest in the soul's peace and tranquility beneath the activity and the noise in our minds. We are restored in the quiet inner life of Christ Consciousness. During this holy season, meditate with us at BLC. Return and rest in the power and peace of Christ Consciousness that waits to be revealed through you right now.

The Wisdom Within
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Awakening to Christ Consciousness is beholding the One in all."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Path of Wonder: A Meditator's Guide to Advent, p. 13
In the Christian tradition, today is the first day of the Advent season, from 12/01/2024-12/24/2024. "Advent" is derived from the Latin word "coming" or "arriving". For many, Advent honors the birth or return of Jesus the Christ.
The Kriya Yoga Teachers in this tradition recognize this time of year as a spiritual call for sincere seekers from all traditions to arrive and live more deeply within our own inner Christ Consciousness that is metaphysically symbolized by the birth of Jesus the Christ. During the Advent season, join us at Blue Lotus Center as we meditate and contemplate the divine wisdom of Christ Consciousness that indwells us all. Beneath perceived differences, let us return, remember, and celebrate the Source of wisdom, power, and presence within all beings. Let us consciously step into this holy season and be the peace and harmony that we seek within and around us now.
