Practice the Presence of Divine Love
Acharya Paula Vandana Whang-Ramos
I know I have wandered far from the integrity of my soul when I make my inner faith, hope, and love conditional upon the ego's disappointment or desire. In those moments, I wrongly think that faith, hope, and divine love will be restored when the ego's desire is met. It's true, I may experience temporary fulfillment when the ego gets what it wants. However, as soon as that desire is met or that irritation subsides, have you ever noticed how a new, different desire or disappointment rises up to take its place? And, once again we have boarded the ego roller coaster of desire and disappointment.
Why can't Divine Love come and stay in our lives? Well, spiritual teachings from the East and the West say that Divine Love is always eternally present within us, 24/7, even when we cannot easily experience or access it. The more interesting question for our spiritual contemplation is "Amidst daily chaos and stress, how can we return to, live from, and remain inwardly attuned to the eternal Divine Love that is continually enlivening and blessing our lives - even during challenging circumstances?"
Join us at CSE this Sunday morning as Yogacharya O'Brian continues this divine inner dialogue in her Satsang series "Practicing the Presence", based on her contemplations of the teachings of Brother Lawrence, a 17th century Catholic Monk. And join us at BLC on Wednesday evenings, when we meditate and further explore the down-to-earth ways in which this humble Monk offers timeless, daily spiritual practices to open our hearts and minds to the eternal faith, hope, and love that indwells and inspires all beings from all traditions.
Join us at BLC for meditation, spiritual study, and contemplation. Gift yourself time to receive and remember the presence of divine wholeness emanating through your mind/body right now. Blue Lotus Kriya Yoga Meditation Center welcomes sincere seekers from all backgrounds. Beginning and experienced meditators from all traditions are welcome at all gatherings.

"Everything is possible for those who believe,
even more for those who hope,
still more for those who love,
and most of all for those who practice and persevere
in these three powerful paths."
