Meditate With BLC Online!

Paula Whang-Ramos

“Daily meditation builds an inner fire of spiritual energy that grows stronger as it is tended.
This inner fire burns away the dross of laziness, restlessness, and confusion."

~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian, CSE Founder, 12/08/2011

Current research now reveals what ancient Wise Ones knew thousands of years ago. Meditation helps us - a lot. Meditation can calm the distracted, fear based, overwhelmed mind. Meditation can ease the tension in a stress filled body. And, meditation can help us learn to become inwardly quiet enough so we can think more clearly, respond more calmly, and breathe more fully. In meditation, we can learn to stop filling our minds with scary stories, emotional reactions, and endless perceived stressors.

Instead, we can learn to relax, even in the presence of physical challenges. We can learn to consciously respond, instead of emotionally react to unexpected life circumstances. And, if we are willing, we can open all the way into the inner peace, love, clarity and joy of our essential wholeness. But, don't take my word for it.

Instead, join us this Wednesday evening and meditate with the Blue Lotus community online. Experience for yourself the inner peace, clarity and even joy, that waits to be realized by us all - now. Gift your Self time in the remembrance of the Source of peace, love, wisdom and Oneness.

Return To Wholeness

Paula Whang-Ramos

"When we experience a challenge or lack, we tend to ask: Where is God? A more useful question is: Where am I?"
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian

Yoga is the conscious, skillful practice of returning to our essential wholeness, as individual expressions of the Source of wholeness. When we learn to live in the flow of this divine power, presence and wisdom, then our own lives are more grace-filled, loving, peaceful and wisdom guided - even during challenging times. When we are struggling with unexpected changes and our reactions to them, then we may ask, "Where is this grace-filled Wholeness right now?" The answer is, "It is right here, right now - eternally present within and around us 24/7. It never left us."

A more useful question is: "Where are we?" Are we reacting personally to environmental factors that are happening to thousands of people right now, living in fear and hoarding our lack of abundance consciousness? Or, are we practicing yoga - returning, again and again, into a wisdom deeper than the mind, a peace more permanent than circumstantial happiness, and a clarity more powerful than our confusion?

Gift your Self time in the remembrance of the Source of peace, love, wisdom and Oneness.

  • Join us online this Wednesday for the evening meditation group, as we meditate and return to the peace that is so clearly needed now.
  • Join us online this Thursday for the "Living In Freedom" group, where we meditate and continue our exploration into the inspiring universal spiritual story of awakening into love over fear, courage over cowardice, and the power of Wholeness over perceived isolation.

Beginning meditators and newcomers are welcome.

An Important CSE and BLC Update

Paula Whang-Ramos

"Suspending the driver’s license of the senses takes courage. We become used to the familiar places they take us and we imagine we will suffer

if we do not follow their lead. But when the soul leads the journey, the senses follow along. New vistas of freedom and joy open up before us.”
~Yogacharya O’Brian, Daily Inspiration, 10/14/2011

I pray you and your loved ones are well cared for on all levels.

Developing Dynamic Will

Paula Whang-Ramos

"When we have been informed of the right way to live, doing so is but a matter of choice...
our every thought, desire, emotional state, relationship, routine behavior, and action should be thought of
as our offering to the well-being of others and the universe. Everything should be done without self-centered motive."
~
Roy Eugene Davis,The Eternal Way(1996, pg. 201).

Mr. Davis offers a beautiful inner path to peace, wholeness, and divine joy in this lifetime. How do we develop and utilize the will power to release mental and behavioral habits incompatible with this path, and redirect our will in harmony with our highest good?

This week, we are blessed with four opportunities to live into this question.

  • First, join us at CSE this morning for a time of meditation and inspiration from teachings by Paramahansa Yogananda in his book Man's Eternal Quest.
  • Second, joins us at CSE this Monday evening as we honor Swami Sri Yukteswar, Paramahansa Yogananda, and Mr. Roy Eugene Davis, three Spiritual Teachers in our tradition who freely shared Yogic teachings to help us live from our highest good.
  • Third, join us at BLC this Wednesday evening, as we meditate into inspirational teachings from these three beloved Teachers.
  • Fourth, join us at BLC this Thursday evening for our free Learn to Meditate Class. Beginning and experienced meditators are welcome to learn or refine your meditation practice.

This week, may we choose to be supported in these opportunities to live in the Wholeness we took birth for, and may it overflow from within us as a blessing to all life.

Meditate superconsciously with us at Blue Lotus Center. Awaken, study, and be inspired in a meditative Kriya Yoga community committed to reclaim and to live from the spiritual integrity and wholeness that we all are. How to Be Happy at Will

Paula Whang-Ramos

"Bliss is buried beneath the exciting mental waves of exuberant pleasure and deep depression and the hollows of indifference."
~Paramahansa Yogananda, Man's Eternal Quest (1982, p. 324)

When we define ourselves and the quality of our lives based on our emotional, mental and physical experiences, then our lives can feel like we are at the mercy of circumstances and our reactions to them. We are happy when our desires and expectations are met. And, that happiness is short-lived when that circumstance changes.

In the yogic tradition, bliss is described as an unchanging quality of our unchanging soul. Meditation is the foundational practice to help us access the unchanging peace and bliss of the soul that dwells beneath our ever- changing minds, emotions, bodies, and experiences. When we directly experience our true soul nature, we realize that we can mature beyond temporary happiness into the true source of bliss.

Join us this morning at CSE and this Wednesday evening at BLC for a time of meditation and inspiration from teachings by Paramahansa Yogananda in his book Man's Eternal Quest. Meditate superconsciously with us at Blue Lotus Center. Awaken, study, and be inspired in a meditative Kriya Yoga community committed to reclaim and to live from the spiritual integrity and wholeness that we all are.
