Radiant Wholeness
Paula Whang-Ramos

Always start with enough by remembering who you are, coming from your fullness, and seeing through and refusing to adopt
that misguided idea of insufficiency.” ~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian, The Jewel of Abundance, p. 140

Kriya Yoga teaches us that, at our core, we are limitless, eternal spiritual beings divinely enlivened in the Source of Wholeness. When we live from our essential wholeness, we experience grace, peace, and joy in our lives, as the natural outflow of a life lived in harmony with the truth of our being. But sometimes we forget, and the ego takes center stage wrongly believing that we are the mind/body, with all of its limitations, changes, and reactions. How do we counteract those erroneous feelings of inadequacy and lack? How do we remember the fullness of our lives and our inheritance as unlimited spiritual beings?

A daily gratitude practice can help us remember our wholeness and authentic self-sufficiency in our daily lives. For example, before we get out of bed in the morning, we can offer a prayer of gratitude for the gift of waking up today. We can offer thanks for living in a community where we can freely meditate without fear of reprisal. Throughout the day, we can offer gratitude for all the ways in which Wholeness flowed through us as courage, joy, wisdom, and compassion. And if we inwardly listen deeply enough, we can even realize how Wholeness flowed, guided, and inspired us through life challenges. The more we learn to live as the birthless, deathless, immortal beings that we are, the more we can experience our true essence of joy, love, and peace in our daily lives. Can you experience how the fullness of Wholeness is flowing through you right now?

Let Divine Creation Flow
Paula Whang-Ramos

Whatever it is we dream to do, the way we bring forth our divine potential is to begin. We take the first step and invite divine grace to meet us.”
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, The Jewel of Abundance, p.62

I enjoy coloring mandalas – sacred geometric symbols of the Source and creation. When I begin, I have no idea what the final image will look like. I start by honoring/coloring the center point that represents the Source of all creation. Then, I stop, look, and listen within for the next section to color around that center point. Surrendering into the process of watching the mandala reveal itself is a divinely inspired experience. And before I know it, a beautiful expression of Wholeness is revealed, that inspires uplifting contemplation and gratitude for the divine creative power that exists within us all.

Spiritually conscious living is like coloring a mandala. We begin by consciously choosing to be part of a larger divine process. We ground in the Source of creation, and take a step into our lives. Then, we stop, look, and listen within for divine grace to inspire the next step that reveals our innate wholeness and inner beauty. And, just as the unique beauty of a mandala emerges, divine grace also reveals how the Source of creation uniquely expresses through us, as us!

Held In Wholeness
Paula Whang-Ramos

“…we recognize and affirm that abundance is the natural experience of cosmic creation and the innate reality of our being;
we practice mindful moments of remembering and experiencing wholeness
.”
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, The Jewel of Abundance, p.73

The teachings of Kriya Yoga tell us that there is one Source that enlivens the universe, and we are part of It. This Source is not lacking in anything, therefore neither are we. Coming from the narrow perspective of the ego, that may be difficult to believe because it is easy for the ego to forget this divine Wholeness is always supporting and guiding us through our daily experiences. But what the ego forgets, the soul remembers as our inherent nature.

How do we tune into the promptings of the soul so we can live more abundantly in the power, presence, and peace of the Self? In our daily meditation practice, we learn to quiet the mind so we can listen into the whispers of Oneness emerging from the soul. And then, throughout our daily activities, we intentionally lift our perceptions beyond the limiting view of the self as mind/body.

Again and again, we turn our attention and awareness into the limitless power, presence, and wisdom of Wholeness expressing through the soul. With repeated practice, even difficult moments can serve as opportunities to remember and surrender into the Wholeness that loves us right now. In this moment, will you join me in acknowledging, accepting, and abiding in the prosperity and abundance that are the birthright of our divine nature? Say "Yes!"

Thrive And Prosper!
Paula Whang-Ramos

We are born to thrive. If we look, we can see this – everything in nature, including us, is geared toward the growth and fulfillment of its purpose.”
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, The Jewel of Abundance, p.1

The definition of thrive is “to prosper; be fortunate or successful; to grow or develop vigorously; flourish”. As spiritual beings, our divine potential is to thrive in the power, presence, and wisdom of the Source of all that is. Imagine what life could be like if we prospered in peace, successfully grew in love, and flourished in the bliss of the soul? We could experience fear-less lives and joy-full relationships!

This year at Blue Lotus Center, we dedicate our collective consciousness to “Thrive and Prosper”. We will study spiritual prosperity and explore how it can enhance the depth of our spiritual awakening and the quality of our daily lives. We will draw inspiration and guidance from Yogacharya O’Brian’s book The Jewel of Abundance: Finding Prosperity Through the Ancient Wisdom of Yoga. If you have read this book, then you already know the spiritually relevant and deeply practical teachings that Yogacharya freely offers to help us thrive and prosper in this lifetime. If this is your introduction to this book, then now is the time to order it and get ready to thrive and prosper in 2024!

“If anything disturbs your peace, practice having faith that divine grace is already actively at work restoring wholeness and well-being.

Then make any necessary adjustments in harmony with that insight.”
